Something Minty
As it is already December and nearing Christmas, I decided it's about time to blog about something holiday-related...so here we have a peppermint gingerbread house with a little bit of shrubbery!

Dabbling with Cakes Again
Realizing that I hadn't made a cake in such a long while (or really anything else), I sat down one day and decided to have a little fun. This little rose cake was the result! I love the shade of plum, and I thought I would top this cake off with a few plum-colored roses.
Also, near the bottom of this post, I added two pictures of the last gingerbread houses that I made for the 2012 series.

Bring on the Gingerbread Houses!
It's gingerbread house making time! Considering how tedious these little structures are to make, I actually had a lot of fun getting back to making them. After all, it's only once a year that I get to make gingerbread houses! I am definitely anxious to design more, but here is one that I'd like to share in the meantime. :)
Early Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow readers from the United States! I hope that your holiday is full of family and love...sending my thanks to all of you this Thanksgiving!

A Touch of Ginger
Belated Merry Christmas and an early Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best in the coming year.Unfortunately, I have not been very prolific in miniature-making lately. Things have remained steadily busy around here, and it's difficult to find an extended period of time to concentrate on sculpting. However, I have managed to make some little goodies here and there, even though it's not much. :)
I am looking forward to the New Year, and all the mini surprises it may bring! I am very appreciative of all of my followers and those who read my blog, and I'm very glad to have the opportunity to share my work with you!

Two Gingerbread Houses
For Christmas, I gave my mom a new little gingerbread house (1/12 scale). It is now located on her miniature shelf in the kitchen beside the very first gingerbread house that I ever made.

Gingerbread House
Now here is a unique little board! This gingerbread house prep board required a lot of time as usual, but it was definitely worth the final result.
Since Christmas is coming up, I thought it would be appropriate to share my little board with you now! Enjoy.

The house in the making, icing bag, rainbow candy canes, peppermints, spearmints, gumdrops, and rainbow sprinkles.

Bottles of rainbow sprinkles, spearmints, peppermints, and gumdrops.

An unfinished side of the ginerbread house.

The colorful jars of candies and decorations.

A jar of glossy spearmints tipped on its side.

Just another shot.
