I was recently comissioned to make this rather cute miniature owl. His eyes are my favorite part!I've only made one owl before, and that was many years ago. I was quite pleased with the result of my new technique, and I hope to try to make others-- sometime.
There are so many different types of owls! It was difficult picking just one type and imitating it.
On a random note, I have been told that my last name (Aul) means "owl" in German..
