Last Taste of Summer

Summer is drawing to a close, and it will be autumn before you know it! But that doesn't mean we can't have our last cookout of the summer with some hotdogs!

My favorite part about making miniature hotdogs is adding the toppings of ketchup, mustard, relish, and chopped onions. It really brings the hotdogs to life with the little bits of color! You have a variety of hotdogs to choose from, so help yourself! ;)

A Touch of Sugar

Food jewelry is always a big hit at craft shows, so I always try to have a good supply of it for sales. I have my first show of the year in October, and it always takes a long time to stock up for a considerably large show like this. It hasn't even been a year since my last show, but I'm still so excited to get back out there again!

Here are two of the many, many pairs of earrings that I've been making recently.

Ice cream cones are always very popular. They're one of my favorites too. :)

Soft Pretzels & Tacos

I find that soft pretzels and tacos "hit the spot" when I need it most. Although they are not similar to each other at all, I've decided to combine the pictures of soft pretzel and taco earrings into one blog post.

While I was at it, I made two pairs of soft pretzel earrings. Well, I've decided to keep a pair for myself. After all, since I make food jewelry, I should have a collection of it myself (that's my excuse anyway--haha).

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of performing with my dance group in our city's St. Patrick's Day Parade. Since I do Irish step dancing, March is our busiest month of the year for performances (due to St. Patrick's Day). I just love this time of year! I'll still be working on my miniatures here and there in between performances and the rest of my life though. All the same, I always have lots to share in the coming weeks!

Two sets of soft pretzels earrings.. I can taste them now!

Taco earrings, complete with flavored ground meat, crunchy lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and blobs of sour cream.

Shish Kabob

It occurred to me not too long ago that shish kabobs would look fantastic in miniature. At last I've made a set of two shish kabobs which are loaded with very juicy foods. Care to join me for a cookout? Summer is right around the corner after all! We all experience how time flies.

A penny is used to depict how small these are.

At another angle...

Surprise!! I made these little shish kabobs into earrings! I have such a soft spot for earrings, especially dangly ones.. :)

After the Weekend

I have some planning to do for the weekend, so I will not be able to post until after then. =/ All this planning has been the main source from keeping me away from miniatures.

Last evening, two of my cousins and I were invited to dance (at a closed performance) to a live band. The music was just beautiful. It was quite an experience, and one I will never forget!

As I have mentioned before, I have a craft show on the 23rd of this month. I cannot wait! It has been four long months since participating in my last show. Craft shows are fun inside and out.

In the meantime, enjoy the calorie-free snicker doodle cookie earrings (pictured above)! Indeed I have been building my stock of miniature food earrings. The food earrings were extremely popular at my last show.
