Crunchy Apples

I deviated from making desserts and decided to make something healthy for a change.  So here we are--a few fresh, juicy, and crunchy apples! 

With all these tasty mini apples around me, I can't help but want to make a pie to go with them...
In the meantime, enjoy some little braeburn apples.

Nutty Cherry Cake



 Cherries....mmm!  What can I say?  They're one of the reasons I look forward to summer so much.

To satisfy my cravings, I decided to make a cake...another cake.  For reasons unknown to me, I never seem to tire of making cakes!

For this cake, I decided to add some freshly chopped nuts along the side, a little bit of whipped cream on top, and a few stunning cherries to finish it off with a little bit of color.

A Bit of Baking

If you're anything like me, then you love chocolate chip or m&m cookies! They always seem to "hit the spot," especially if they are still warm from the oven. I really shouldn't be thinking about cookies during lent since it seems to "activate" my sweet tooth.... oh well. :)

End of the Winter Season

As we approach the end of the winter season, I'd like to finish things off with a little winter-themed cake. :) The design of this soft blue snowflake cake was inspired by an actual cake that my cousin, Maggie, designed and created. Mmm I can taste it right now!


Two layers of chocolate cake and two layers of mint cake--a very tasty combination!


Delicate snowflakes decorate the sides as well as the top of the cake. Tiny marshmallows line the rim along the base.

Playing with Pizza

Mmmm pizza... it's the type of food that just about anybody loves!

Pizza is one of those foods that I love to "play around" with in miniature. It's a rather fun challenge for me because there are many tedious and minute details that go into making a pizza. Each detail plays an important role in bringing the miniature pizza to life.

So here is one of my recent pizzas, topped with sliced pepperoni, black olives, and green peppers.
