After much thinking, I have decided to create my own blog! I am very excited about sharing my artwork and updates on this website.
So here is a little about myself: my name is Bridget and I am a young miniaturist from the United States. I created my small business, Tweety Petie Products, in December 2006. In August 2005, our parakeet (named Petie) passed away and I simply named my business in her memory. I am fascinated by animals, especially birds, and love them very much! We currently own a new parakeet named Aubrey after Captain Jack Aubrey from the movie film Master & Commander.
I have been taking piano and Irish step dance lessons for a number of years. Each activity has a deep meaning to me. My teachers have made all the difference with their continual support and encouragement throughout the good and the difficult times.
What is so unique about Irish dancing is that it is divided into two classes. You must learn how to dance both in ghillies (soft shoe) and in hard shoes (somewhat like a tap shoe). I am so blessed to be able to have the opportunity to dance.
I am one of seven in my family and I am an aunt of 5 precious nieces with another (niece/nephew) on the way. Friends come and go, but family is here forever.
I will be updating my blog frequently with photos of my newest miniature sculptures. I am anxious to share and post updates!
